It was great to see you all at school this morning. I had a great day with a wonderful group of children. I trust the children also enjoyed their day in their new room.
Over the next few weeks we will be reading Nursery Rhymes. If you have a favourite rhyme please bring it in so we can all share and enjoy it.
Today we read 'Hickory Dickory Dock. Did you know that this rhyme was written in 1744? In those times the mechanisms of Grandfather clocks were greased with bacon fat. This was done at night time and then mice would run up the clock to eat the fat. When the clock chimed they were frightened and ran away. Come into our room to see our mice running up our Grandfather clock.
