Luke tries his best at his work.
He knows how to listen and follow instructions.
Thank you, Luke, it's great to have you in our room.

As part of our transport topic we made kites. Today we flew them.

Today was the last day for Term 2. Thank you for your support through what has been a long and challenging 11 weeks. The children have been amazing. It is good to reflect back over the term and notice the progress the children have made in their academic learning.
Today we were on the move. We will start Term 3 in Room 3 - with our cloak room right beside the classroom. We thank Room 2 for their generosity in allowing us to use their room this term.
Also today we said 'farewell' to four class members: Wil, Luke, Evelyn, and Annabel. They will start Term 3 in Room 12 in Room 8. We will miss you but know you will enjoy the new challenges that await you.

I wish you all a safe, relaxing, refreshing, and happy holiday and look forward to seeing you back on Monday 1 August in Room 3.

Term 2 Week 11 - Certificate

Today the children presented the whole school assembly. We started with a song then Benjamin, Freya, Rheubyn, and Amelia lead us in prayer.
Lily then talked about our art work and we showed our boat pictures.

We used a low horizon to make our boats appear closer and a high horizon to make our boats appear further away. To create our pictures we used pastel, dye, and collage.

At our Whole School Assembly today Paige received a certificate welcoming her to our room and our school. Paige, we love having you with us and hope you feel settled here soon.

At our Whole School Assembly today Ben received a certificate for trying hard to complete his work to 'Triple Star' standard.
Congratulations, Ben, we are proud of you.

On Saturday Isla turned 6.  We hope you enjoy being 6.

I am looking forward to hearing about the disco on Monday. I was sorry to miss it as I know it was going to be lots of fun.
On Monday our room is leading the school assembly. Assembly starts at 12md in the church. If you are able to come along it would be great to see you.
On Thursday we will have a fun day. The children can wear mufti (no donation required), a sausage and ice-block will be provided for lunch - a special thanks to the Parent Council -  and we'll be involved in some fun activities in the afternoon.
On Friday we begin our move back to Room 3. Also on Friday the children will bring home their portfolio. Next term there will be an opportunity for you to meet with me to discuss the portfolio, or any other matter you wish. Term 2 Week 9 'Star of the Week'

The  'Star of the Week’ for Week 9 is  Amelia.
Amelia is focused in class. She always tries her best to produce 'Triple Star' work. Amelia knows how to follow instructions and is a great role model.
Thank you, Amelia, it's great to have you in our room.

This week we began learning about the Holy Spirit. We cannot see the Holy Spirit but we can see what he does in people. Today we discussed how the Holy Spirit is like the wind - we can't see the wind but we can see what it does. To help us with this concept (and because it fits in with our Transport theme) we made paper aeroplanes. Then we went outside to fly them. Although it was cold, we enjoyed watching our planes fly.
